Why ASTRA was formed
We at ASTRA take an entirely different approach to the needs of our members. Our governing council is made up of Asbestos Removal, Surveying & Analytical professionals who are not afraid to voice their views and basically talk sense, they do not proclaim to be the best, safest or most or biggest contractors in the industry, but they strive to be better.
ASTRA's team understand through our vast experience that all contractors make mistakes, ASTRA members are proactive not reactive and the association will continue to promote this as the building blocks of the association.
We offer removal contractors the help and support required to safely operate in a permissible licensing regime & offer the same quality service to surveyors & non licensed contractors who strive to improve their knowledge, services & employee safety when surveying or working with or around asbestos containing materials.
Under the current established requirements for trade association membership, new asbestos removal licensed contractors are excluded from membership in their first year for the reason of not being able to demonstrate a track record of good practice or high standards of workmanship.
